Is ZUYIYI a Good Brand?

The short answer

ZUYIYI is a decent budget brand with a stock problem. It makes cordless tools for Makita 18V batteries plus a range of outdoor power outlets and covers, and sells them on Amazon. Across the 37 listings with at least twenty ratings, the average is 4.2 stars, and 27 of them sit at 4.0 or better. That is a respectable record for tools at this price. What counts against it is availability: on 2026-09-11, 20 of the 48 live listings were out of stock, and 6 products the site used to link were no longer listed on Amazon at all.

What the ratings show

• Best rated with a real sample: ZUYIYI Cordless Impact Wrench 1/2"… — 4.6 stars from 88 ratings.
• Weakest: ZUYIYI 18GA 2-in-1 Cordless Brad Nailer — 3.3 stars from 27 ratings.
• Most reviewed: ZUYIYI Mini Jet Dry Blower Turbofan — 166 ratings.

The spread is what you would expect from a brand whose range runs from simple outdoor outlets to high-draw brushless tools: the simple things rate well, the complicated ones vary.

The Makita question

Most ZUYIYI tools are sold as “for Makita 18V Battery” and ship without one. That is the brand's real proposition: a cheap way to add tools to a Makita 18V battery collection you already own. If you own no Makita packs, the price of a ZUYIYI tool is only the start. The details are in ZUYIYI battery compatibility.

Stock comes and goes

A fifth or more of any small Amazon brand's range can be out of stock on a given day, and ZUYIYI is at the high end of that. It matters less for a tool you buy once and more for the parts of a system you will want to replace — batteries and blades. Every page on this site links the live listing either way, and says when it last checked.

What to check on a ZUYIYI listing before you buy

1. Is it tool-only? Most ZUYIYI listings say “batteries not included” or “bare tool”. Budget for a Makita 18V pack and charger if you do not own them.
2. Which pack does it need? The high-draw tools ask for a 4.0Ah or larger pack. The battery checker lists what each listing names.
3. How many ratings sit behind the stars? A 4.6 from a dozen ratings says less than a 4.2 from a hundred and fifty. The catalogue table below sorts by either.
4. Is it in stock, and is it still listed? Every page here states the date it last checked. If a tool was out of stock, the listing link is still there, because stock comes back.
5. What does the return window cover? Returns go through Amazon, not the brand, which is the practical safety net on any budget tool.

Website, Amazon and where to buy

ZUYIYI sells through its Amazon store, and that is the source this site works from. Searches for a ZUYIYI website or “ZUYIYI tools” end up in the same place. If you see ZUYIYI tools elsewhere, compare the model against the listings here before buying.

The whole catalogue

The bottom line

For a Makita 18V owner who wants an inexpensive blower, pruner, polisher or grease gun, ZUYIYI is a reasonable bet: pick a listing with a four-star rating and a real number of ratings behind it. For anyone who needs a tool platform they can still buy parts for in five years, buy into a mainstream brand.
